BROOKLYN - Business is booming for film and television production in Brooklyn.

Steiner Studios has announced a major state-of-the-art expansion at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which is expected to bring in a lot of revenue to the borough.

The state increased its backing of the media hub, bringing total assistance for the project to $11.3 million. Developers say it’ll create more than 1,000 construction jobs and eventually about 900 full-time positions.

Supporters agree it’s a win-win for the city and the media industry.
