BROOKLYN - A stepmother has been arrested in connection with the six-story fall of a young girl in Coney Island.

Police say 19-year-old Diana Metellus is facing several charges, including assault, criminal possession of a weapon and child endangerment.

The teenager's 7-year-old stepdaughter fell out of a window last Wednesday, and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Toxicology reports showed traces of drugs in her system.

A judge set bail for Metellus at $35,000.
