'Stop the sag' billboards make impression

BROOKLYN - Residents have mixed opinions on six new billboards aimed to ?Stop the Sag? that went up Thursday.

The billboards are an initiative by Sen. Eric Adams (D-Brooklyn) and the non-profit group Fully Persuaded for Children and Families. Adams says wearing pants lower emanated from prison culture and is part of a negative stereotype.

While some residents agree with Adams, others like Carlton Spencer say it's about style.

"We just want to show off our jeans," Spencer said.
