BROOKLYN - Rapper Lil' Shakur wants to bring a message of peace to his Bed-Stuy neighborhood though music.

The 16-year-old hosted a 'Stop the Violence' concert last night in Herbert Von King Park. Residents listened to local musicians and even got dance lessons in at the family friendly event.

Shakur says he organized the concert because he's lost many loved ones himself.
