BED-STUY - Police say a store clerk beat up a robber, who opened fire before his gun jammed.

The armed robber, who police identified as Quincy Dean, 25, entered Mike's Variety on Macdougal street and pulled the trigger three times.

Police say the man bought a cd before shooting at the clerk, who then fought with the gunman until cops arrived.

During the fight that resulted in the robber needing medical attention, Cephus says his dog ran out of the store.
