Strong and gusty winds accompanied by heavy downpours is making for a messy commute Friday.

BROOKLYN - Strong and gusty winds accompanied by heavy downpours is making for a messy commute Friday.

The rain will be heavy at times and there may even be flash floods in some areas.

Residents say the rain is putting a damper on things. Some said they were trying to get things done early so they could be home for the rest of the night.

The good news is nice weather is expected for the weekend.
