Straphangers report finds subway performance improved

BROOKLYN - The newest Straphangers Campaign report on subway service found an improved picture for 2010.

The report found that cars are cleaner, break less and announcements are easier to hear. However, lines that were at the bottom of the list last year did not significantly improve.

The report also found large disparities in performance between subway lines. Certain lines, like the 6 train, maintained a schedule better than others. The report looked at car cleanliness, accurate announcements and breakdown rate for the overall rankings.
