BROOKLYN - Street hails could become legal in the outer boroughs by the end of this year.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is meeting with taxi company representatives and disabled advocates this week to discuss the issue.

The Legislature has already passed a bill to legalize street hails, but it remains unclear how disabled people would be served.

The bill will be sent to Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) by Dec. 31.
