BROOKLYN - Students learning the art of photography walked around DUMBO today to get hands-on training with experts.

The students were taking part in workshops at the Photoville exhibit, which displays photos from experts around the world. They learned how the photos were taken and got a chance to step behind a camera themselves.

The workshop taught students techniques such as lighting ratio and distance. Some of their photography will be featured in their own exhibit at Photoville.

The pop-up exhibit runs through this weekend.
