BROOKLYN - Hundreds of students are expected to walk out of school and rally at City Hall to protest cuts to student MetroCards.

The walkout is led by Urban Youth Collaborative, a student-led group. Students are expected to walk out around noon today.

The city has discussed eliminating free MetroCards for students during its fiscal crisis. Students say the cuts could mean they would not have a way to get to school.
