BROOKLYN - Students are back in their classrooms at P.S. 288 this week for the first time since Superstorm Sandy.

The Coney Island school was shut down more than two months ago due to flooding and an oil tank rupture, forcing kids to relocate to a school in Bensonhurst while repairs were made.

Parents say the closure has been an inconvenience during the storm recovery period, but they are relieved that their children's schedules are finally returning to normal.
