Students, teachers rally against Sunset Park H.S. co-location

SUNSET PARK - Students, parents and teachers from Sunset Park High School rallied today against the Department of Education's plan to keep a charter school that was moved into the building there for another year.

The Brooklyn Prospect Charter School was co-located at Sunset Park High School two years ago and was only supposed to stay until the building was ready this coming school year.

However, the Department of Education says the charter school's building will not be ready in time.

A panel for education policy is set to vote on the co-location this coming Monday.
