Students turn on the TV to learn math at P.S. 327

BROWNSVILLE - Summer school students at P.S. 327 only need to turn on their TVs to do their math homework.

A new program called TV Textbook was launched at the school, allowing the students to use an interactive device, similar to a video game console, to complete their math assignments on the TV.

School officials say the program is working, noting they are seeing an increase in grades and accuracy.

Teachers say that while 54 students are currently participating in the program, they say that every day they have parents coming in asking for their kids to be added to the program.
