Study reveals decrease in Brooklyn hate crimes

BROOKLYN - A new study shows that the number of hate crimes has decreased in Brooklyn.

According to the state Division of Criminal Justice Services study, in 2008, there were 117 hate crimes. The number decreased to 92 in 2009.

While Brooklyn did see a decline in the study, the borough still has the most number of hate crimes across the city. 2009 report on hate crimes
