BENSONHURST - Subway construction along 86th Street is leaving businesses struggling to survive.

The MTA?s $88 million construction project may one day benefit the area, but for now the limited parking is causing trouble. Customers are turning elsewhere in fear of parking fines.

Workers at Lenny?s Pizza say sales have fallen 60 percent.

Community Board 11, which represents the area, has met with the MTA to try and devise a new traffic plan to help alleviate the parking issues in hopes of keeping the affected businesses open.
