QUEENS - The woman accused of pushing a man to his death in front of a subway train last week has been charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime.

Erika Menendez, 31, was arraigned last night and a judge ordered her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation as well.
The Queens district attorney says Menendez admitted to pushing 46-year-old Sunando Sen to his death on the 7 train platform at the 40th Street-Queens Boulevard station.

The district attorney also says Menendez told police she pushed Sen onto the train tracks because she hates Hindus and Muslims.
