BROOKLYN - Sunny's Bar in Red Hook is still trying to recover from Hurricane Sandy.

Sunny's had been open for years and is considered a community staple. The bar and ocean became one during Sandy, and most of the establishment was nearly destroyed.

The owner says the outpouring of support he's received from his patrons has been incredible. The bar hopes to reopen by mid-summer.
