SUNSET PARK - Two Brooklyn neighborhoods are being recognized for their history and architecture by the Historic District Council.

Sunset Park was placed on the list of 'six to celebrate,' or six historic neighborhoods in the city that the council says need preservation attention. A group of 20 neighbors worked with Councilwoman Sara Gonzalez to apply for consideration.

Greenpoint was also placed on the list. The other three neighborhoods are in Manhattan, The Bronx and Staten Island.
