Sunset Park residents fed up with violent students

SUNSET PARK - Neighbors in Sunset Park say students from a nearby school are throwing rocks at their homes, damaging their property.

Residents say students from a Hasidic school for boys have broken their windows, dented their aluminum siding, scratched up cars and started fires.

Rabbis at the school told News 12 Brooklyn that the students apparently think it's fun to torment the neighborhood during recess.

One homeowner, Jorge Toro, has lived in Sunset Park for 50 years. The school has been around for nine years and has paid four times to replace his broken windows.

Residents say they have filed police reports and plan on complaining at the next community board meeting.
