BROOKLYN - Residents in Sunset Park celebrated the Chinese New Year with a parade this weekend on 8th Avenue.

Dancing dragons and drum lines kicked off the lunar new year celebrations in Brooklyn. Organizers estimate at least 50,000 people watched the parade.

The parade marked the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit, which Chinese culture deems to be good luck.
