BROOKLYN - An SUV crashed through the front of a Popeyes restaurant in East Flatbush, and it was all caught on camera.

In surveillance video shared by a viewer, a Toyota 4Runner is seen smashing through the fast food joint on Utica Avenue and Linden Boulevard at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Two customers, a 74-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man, were inside the restaurant at the time, and were among four people taken to Kings County Hospital. The female driver and her passenger were also taken to the hospital, and all four are expected to make a full recovery.

According to investigators, the driver had just left a nearby gas station when something happened with the brakes and she lost control. Police say they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role, and no charges are expected to be filed.

The Department of Buildings will survey the damage and determine the fate of the building.
