New York was No. 11, while Washington, D.C. came in as the coolest U.S. city right now.

NEW YORK - Do you think the Big Apple is among America’s coolest cities? 

If so, you may be surprised by a new survey that doesn't even put New York City in the top 10 coolest places.  

According to the Forbes report, New York is No. 11, with rankings based on entertainment, recreational amenities, the "foodie" culture, diversity, age and population growth. 

Washington, D.C. came in as the coolest U.S. city right now, followed by Seattle, Austin, Houston and San Francisco.
