Survey names four biggest concerns of Carroll Gardens residents

(11/28/06) BROOKLYN ? Residents in the Carroll Gardens community got to voice their opinions on a number of issues through a special survey.

Residents named transportation, land use, commerce and housing as their four top concerns. Some were forced to sell their cars due to lack of parking in the area. Another major concern cited in the survey stems from area development. Ninety-one percent of the responders say they are concerned to some degree about the height and size of some buildings in the area.

The findings in the survey will be passed on to elected officials. They hope to use the information when making decisions about future development in the area.
