Suspect in Lott Avenue murder arraigned

BROOKLYN - The suspect who allegedly shot and killed a teenager in Brownsville was arraigned on murder charges today.

Police say they believe 20-year-old Djavan Perry is the person caught on surveillance video gunning down Andre Pitts, 18, outside a Lott Avenue building last month. Perry was later arrested in Albany at a friend's home.

The victim's family says an arrest has added some closure while they wait for a conviction in the case.

Officials say Perry is expected to be charged with murder.
