BROOKLYN - The man accused of murdering three Brooklyn shopkeepers pleaded not guilty today in court.

Salvatore Perrone is charged with shooting and killing three men of Middle Eastern descent over several months.

Perrone is scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 22.

He faces a number of charges, including several for first-degree murder. Each murder charge carries a sentence of 25 years to life.
