WILLIAMSBURG - A woman surrendered to police Tuesday in connection with a slashing attack on the A train last week.

Video of the attack shows a woman slashing two straphangers between Jay Street and Nostrand Avenue.

After it appeared on YouTube, where it picked up more than 1,000 views, police sent out an alert asking for the woman to come forward.

She met police Tuesday at a coffee shop on Hooper Street, where she and her attorney declined to speak with News 12 before she was taken into custody.

The suspect's friends identified her only as Merci and say there is more to the incident than what appears in the YouTube video.
