SUV crashes through front window of supermarket

BROOKLYN - Two women were rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon after an SUV smashed through the front window of the Fine Fare Supermarket on Mermaid Avenue in Coney Island.

One of the women was the driver of the car, while the other was an elderly woman who was standing in the checkout line at the time of the crash.

Witnesses say the driver was trying to park the SUV when she lost control, sending the vehicle through the front window and pinning the elderly woman.

Both women are expected to be fine.
