BROWNSVILLE - A Brownsville grandmother says her granddaughter and her husband physically assaulted her while demanding cash earlier this month.

Thelma Thompson says 22-year-old Tanaysia Thomas-Mcleod and her husband, 24-year-old Sharod Mcleod, knocked on her door and then broke in on Aug. 11. She says she was pushed and punched while the couple demanded money and jewelry. She says they threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply.
