Taxi causes multi-car collision in Flatbush

BROOKLYN - A multi-car collision involving a taxi brought Flatbush Avenue traffic to a crawl Saturday.

A taxicab struck three cars before jumping a curb and hitting a pole, according to officials. Witnesses say the taxi nearly hit two pedestrians in its wild ride but hit the pole first.

Police say at least three people are in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials do not yet know the cause of the accident. They believe at least one passenger was in the taxi at the time of the crash.
