Teachers across Brooklyn are getting ready for the start of school next week.

Many teachers are not only getting their lesson plans ready, but also cleaning and scrubbing their classrooms.

BROOKLYN - Teachers across Brooklyn are getting ready for the start of school next week.

Many teachers are not only getting their lesson plans ready, but also cleaning and scrubbing their classrooms.

Other teachers are taking time to decorate their classroom and organize books and other learning materials.

One teacher who spoke with News 12 said that in a play on the popular Redbox DVD service, she created "Read Box" to help draws students' attention to reading and the library.
