Teen arrested in killing of 13-year-old boy

BROOKLYN - (AP) - A teenager has been arrested in a shooting that killed another teen on a street in Brooklyn.

The NYPD says 17-year-old Akbar Johns was arrested Friday on murder and other charges. It isn't clear whether he has a lawyer, and no telephone number for him can be found.

The victim, Ronald Wallace, was 13. He was shot in the back on Aug. 24 at Tapscott Street and Blake Avenue, in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn.
