Teen cyclist struck and killed in Bensonhurst

A 16-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car while riding her bicycle in Bensonhurst Sunday evening.Police say the teenager was riding her bike

BROOKLYN - A 16-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car while riding her bicycle in Bensonhurst Sunday evening.

Police say the teenager was riding her bike near the intersection of 21st Avenue and 62nd Street at the time of the incident. She was struck by a white BMW coming down 62nd Street. The driver remained at the scene.

The victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Witnesses say the driver had the right of way. No criminality is suspected.
