Teen dead, 2 others wounded in Canarsie shooting

BROOKLYN - (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting in Brooklynthat left a 17-year-old dead and two other teens wounded.

Police say the three victims got into an altercation Friday withtwo unidentified males, one of whom pulled out a gun and beganfiring at the three. Police say Shaquille Jones, of Brooklyn, was shot in the headand pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old was wounded in theshoulder and a 19-year-old was shot in the calf. Both males werehospitalized in stable condition. It happened just after 3 p.m. at East 76th Street and FlatlandsAvenue in the Canarsie section of the borough. There have been no arrests.
