BROOKLYN - Police say a 15-year-old boy was found dead late last night at the bottom of a chimney shaft of a junior high school.

Police say they arrived at Roy H. Mann Intermediate School in Brooklyn shortly before 11 p.m. and found Nicholas Gryak unconscious in the chimney shaft of the school. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friends of Gryak say they frequently climbed on the scaffolding around the school and hung out on the roof of the school.

The medical examiner is still investigating the cause of death.
