BROOKLYN - NYPD officers from the Brooklyn North Gang Division have arrested two armed teenagers after a foot chase in Bed-Stuy.

The teens were spotted by officers in an unmarked car Tuesday morning on Marcy and Gates avenues Tuesday morning. Police say the officers approached the teens after noticing 16-year-old Rasun Bah with a knife.

Authorities say that’s when the other teen, identified as 17-year-old Jahkim Heyward, took off running with a loaded handgun. He allegedly threw the weapon into a playground on Monroe Avenue before being caught on Tompkins Avenue.

Bah did not run from police, and both teens are now facing weapons charges.
