Teens admit to playground fire; say it was accidental

BROOKLYN - A group of local teens admitted to causing a fire that torched some playground equipment at a Cobble Hill school. But, the teens say the fire was an accident.

Lawyers representing the teenagers involved say their parents have pooled $50,000 to replace the torched equipment. Area signs were also defaced and basketball nets were cut.

Fire officials are still investigating the incident. No charges have been brought against the teenagers.
