Teens clean up litter in Bensonhurst

BENSONHURST - Local community groups teamed up with children and teens in Bensonhurst Sunday to clean up the neighborhood.

Teenagers picked up trash along their streets and tidied up garbage receptacles throughout the community. Organizations say the day of community work was designed to spread awareness about cleaning up litter and keeping streets safe.

Yunyun Li, of Brooklyn Asian Voice Organization, says the cleanup sends a message to young people that they can take action and make changes.
