BROOKLYN - The Campus program in Brownsville has expanded to Crown Heights.

A ribbon-cutting was held Friday at the new location at M.S. 61 on Empire Boulevard.

The expansion is part of The Campus program's initiative to bring the arts, wellness development and STEM subjects -- science, technology, engineering and mathematics -- to Brooklyn residents.

Program organizers say it's a well-rounded approach to learning that will serve the community at large.

Friday marked the start of a limited offering of Campus classes at M.S. 61. The full menu of programming will begin next fall.
