BAY RIDGE - Thousands of people braved the clouds and gloomy weather today to attend the 40th annual Third Avenue Festival in Bay Ridge.

The festival stretched nearly 25 blocks, and it aimed to spotlight local businesses. Organizers say 150 local businesses and restaurants participated this year.

There were fun fall foods like candy apples, plus plenty of games and attractions for children.

It marked the 40th year the festival was held.
