Thousands flock to Prospect Park for opening day

BROOKLYN - Thousands flocked to Prospect Park Saturday to enjoy the spring temperatures and lots of opening day activities.

More than 2,000 Little League players and their families ushered in the park?s opening day with a parade through Park Slope. They kicked off the baseball season with a ceremonial first toss.

The park?s carousel was started up for the first of many rides to come. A group of enthusiastic volunteers were also on hand to help clean and spruce up Prospect Park for the busy spring season. Prospect Park
