BROOKLYN - Thousands of protesters rallied at Brooklyn Technical High School tonight as an educational panel discussed the fate of four schools in the borough.
The schools on the chopping block are P.S. 200, P.S. 14, P.S. 332 and M.S. 571. The Department of Education says the schools are consistently low-performing and should be shut down. Those against the closures argue the schools need help and can be fixed.
A vote was expected to be reached Thursday on phasing out P.S. 114, but it has been postponed.
