BROOKYLN - An estimated 6,000 people turned out for a street fair on Church Avenue today.

The sunshine brought out lots of people to sample different dishes from local eateries. Other booths at the fair let people get their hair done or try out new makeup styles.

The Church Avenue Business Improvement District says the area is becoming more popular since it held its last fair. Five new businesses have opened or are set to open soon.
