Thousands wait-listed for public kindergarten

BROOKLYN - Thousands of Brooklyn residents are on waitlists for public kindergarten.Nearly 2,400 youngsters are currently wait-listed for their zoned schools. Sources tell News 12 Brooklyn that P.S. 169 and P.S. 94, The Henry Longfellow School, have the longest lists. More than 100 kids are wait-listed at the two Sunset Park schools.A Department of Education spokesperson says parents can expect these lists to shrink and disappear by September.
