Three-alarm fire in Red Hook leaves eight firefighters injured

RED HOOK - A three-alarm fire in a Red Hook warehouse leaves at least eight fire fighters injured.

Fire fighters say 25 units and about 100 fire fighters were called to the scene around 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning. They say the immense amount of smoke, caused by the cold and cardboard boxes, made it hard to locate the scene of the fire.

The manager of the warehouse says he expect to find thousands of dollars of damage. Fire officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
