TIME magazine has revealed the 10 finalists for its "Person of the Year" award.
Singer Miley Cyrus made this year’s list, along with controversial Sen. Ted Cruz, NSA leaker Edward Snowden and Pope Francis, the new leader of the Catholic church.
President Barack Obama, last year's winner of the title, is a finalist again.
The other finalists are Syrian President Bashar Assad, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, and gay rights activist Edith Windsor.
Many were surprised and angry that Miley Cyrus is on the same list as Pope Francis and President Obama.
