BROOKLYN - A toddler has died after being severely beatenin a foster home in Brooklyn.

The New York City Medical Examiner's office says 17-month-oldKymell Oram died in a hospital on March 28. He was hospitalized onMarch 17 with blunt force injuries, cuts, broken ribs and damage tohis lungs.

A spokeswoman said the medical examiner's office hasruled his death a homicide.

Paramedics found the boy unconscious afterresponding to a 911 call.

Prosecutors say the boy was severely beaten by his fostermother's 19-year-old boyfriend while she was away from the house.

Oram was also known by his official name, Louis Mosley.
