BROOKLYN - News 12 Brooklyn is counting down the top stories for the borough in 2013 as voted by our viewers. Coming in at No. 2 is President Barack Obama's visit to a Crown Heights high school.

The president met with students at P-Tech in October, just a few months after mentioning the school in his State of the Union address in February. He even spoke to the entire nation straight from the school's gym.

The school earned the presidential recognition because of a unique program that graduates its students in six years with both a high school diploma and an associate's degree.

Obama said P-Tech is an example of what he'd like to see around the country.
