CONEY ISLAND - News 12 Brooklyn is counting down the top stories of the borough of 2013 as voted by our viewers. Coming in at No. 4 is the trouble at the Astrotower at Luna Park in Coney Island.

The iconic attraction was swaying more than usual over the summer, prompting city officials to shut down Luna Park, Deno's Wonder Wheel amusement park and the surrounding streets.

Crews worked morning and night to remove the 275-foot tower, and the work was finished just in time for the park to reopen for the Fourth of July.

But now that the iconic tower is a thing of the past, it's unclear what will replace it. Luna Park officials say they are still deciding.
