BOROUGH PARK - Brooklyn's Jewish community is looking at new options for safeguarding valuable Torahs after five were taken from a Borough Park synagogue.

One option is to register the Torahs, which have priceless spiritual value and are worth tens of thousands of dollars. The registration would get fed into a global database that has more than 30,000 unique scrolls listed.

Police say burglars entered a synagogue at 1556 53rd St. through a back window and stole five Torahs worth thousands of dollars.
