Toyota considering Corolla recall

BROOKLYN - Toyota Motor Corp. announced Wednesday it was looking into complaints of power steering problems with the Corolla and was considering a recall.

The company has already recalled 8.5 million other vehicles worldwide due to issues with gas pedals, floor mats and brakes.

Toyota Plaza Automall in Brooklyn has had a full staff of mechanics working 24 hours a day, seven days a week to repair recalled vehicles. Residents say the mechanics will make house calls and one man says his accelerator was fixed within five minutes.
